Viewhaven Lodge

Viewhaven Lodge is held close to the Crookwell community’s heart due to the donations and commitment to its establishment by the local community. Viewhaven Lodge opened in 2008 and has been purpose built to provide functional, quality and attractive residential care. The facility is in a rural setting and its lounges overlook the town and hills around Crookwell. The beautiful landscaped gardens are now mature and are enjoyed from the resident rooms. The facility is located one kilometer from the center of Crookwell which has a post office, supermarket, shops, library and more.

Viewhaven Lodge offers a range of care services including low and high care, ageing in place, dementia specific care, palliative care and respite.

The facility is staffed by Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Care Service Employees with the required qualifications. The Registered Nurse cover is 24 hours a day and an Activities Officer provides a comprehensive program five days a week.

Its superbly designed, architect award-winning building has combined a respect for residents’ privacy with opportunities for leisure, recreation and socialisation. Accommodation is a mixture of double and single rooms, all of which have ensuite bathrooms. There are two communal dining rooms and a number of small lounge rooms for recreation and leisure. There is also an activities room, which is used for movies, art, meditation and other activities. Families are free to use this room for family celebrations.

Viewhaven Lodge has its own commercial kitchen and all meals are made on the premises. Local suppliers are used to ensure maximum freshness and quality of the food and to support the local economy. All laundry is also done on the premises by housekeeping services.

Viewhaven Lodge is fully accredited with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission until July 2021. It is serviced by Crookwell’s GPs and has access to emergency services at Crookwell District and Goulburn Hospitals. hairdressers, a dentist and podiatrist visit the facility at resident request. Crookwell’s two pharmacies service the facility. Residents are encouraged to maintain existing medical and other relationships and memberships. Residents may continue attending such activities as Senior Citizens while at Viewhaven Lodge. Telephone connection and Pay TV are available per resident arrangement.
